MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. -- A gas leak in Montgomery Co. forced several homes to evacuate in the immediate area on Tuesday night.
Montgomery Co. police say the leak occurred in the area of Bonifant Road and Layhill Road at around 6 p.m.
Nearby roads also closed.
Washington Gas Co. closed a nearby valve, stopping the leak, police say.
Residents will be allowed to return to their home once given the all-clear.
