All lanes reopened on Capital Beltway after tractor trailer carrying newspapers jackknifes

One tractor trailer jackknifed and lost the newspapers and magazines it was carrying, another tractor trailer rolled over. It is carrying 43,000 pounds of potatoes.

ROCKVILLE, Md. — All lanes have reopened on the Capital Beltway after a tractor trailer jackknifed and lost the load of newspapers and magazines it was carrying early Tuesday morning in Rockville, Maryland. 

The incident happened on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway between Connecticut Avenue and Georgia Avenue.

Around 2:40 a.m., another tractor trailer rolled over on northbound I-270 near MD-109. It is carrying 43,000 pounds of potatoes. They did not spill onto the road.

Hazmat responded to the scene after some fuel spilled from the truck. 

No injuries have been reported.
