ACCOKEEK, Md. (WUSA9) – A woman is recovering after she was found trapped in her car for three days, Prince George's County Fire and EMS said.

Around 6 p.m. Monday, emergency crews responded to Newasa Lane after a neighbor called 911 with concerns about a person trapped inside a car during the blizzard.

Once there, crews were unable to get to the car due to the snow on the unplowed road. That is when a Humvee with the Maryland Army National Guard 110th was brought out to help.

According to officials, the woman was apparently living inside of her vehicle. They said she ran out of gas trying to keep warm and was only able to keep herself warm with blankets.

She was transported to the hospital and treated for hypothermia.
