Long Range Forecast:
Some morning clouds Monday then skies return partly cloudy with highs in the 50s again.
Active weather is on the way between Tuesday and Thursday with a rather complex forecast. Depending on the timing of the system, we could see light snow or a mix Tuesday and again Thursday. No accumulation is expected. There is better model agreement for a chance for rain and snow on Thursday. For now it looks like neighborhoods south of D.C., such as Stafford and Tappahannock would have a better chance for picking up on light snow accumulations. There will be changes to the timing and type of precipitation that we will see, so check with us for updates.
Cold air will make a strong comeback by the end of the week with highs only in the 30s for most areas.
