FORECAST DISCUSSION

Memorial Day Weekend is here -- and it will be a warm unofficial start to summer with the chance of a few storms each day.

As a cold front pushes in Sunday, scattered showers and storms track into the region for the afternoon and evening. Some of the storms will be heavy and a few could reach severe limits. Critical Timing for the metro is between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday. Outside the storms, it will be hot Sunday with highs around 90.

Sunday night, another round of storms will move in, especially between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. - a few of these could initially be heavy/strong.

Memorial Day will be not as hot and will also see a noticeable drop in  humidity too. Just a stray storm is possible during the day. It looks like another round of showers/storms becomes a factor Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
