STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A tractor-trailer crash shut down southbound Interstate 95 near Centreport Parkway Tuesday morning, Virginia State Police (VSP) said.

The truck crash turned fire blocked southbound I-95 near mile marker 135, before US Route 17 at Exit 133, Virginia Department of Transportation said.

As of 9 a.m., all lanes have since reopened after being blocked along the roadway for crews to access and clean the damage caused by the crash.

The traffic back up was about seven miles, officials said. The lanes were blocked by response crews for at least an hour.

Officials asked drivers to follow police direction when driving past the crash.
