Su'a Cravens is one big step closer to returning to the football field.

The NFL officially reinstated the safety Wednesday.

Cravens was placed on the reserved/left squad list last season as he was reportedly contemplating retirement while dealing with concussion issues.

Back in September, Su'a Cravens gave away jerseys. He hinted then that there might be a possibility he could return to the NFL when he was asked how much the fan experience makes him want to come back next season.

"It means a lot," said Cravens. "I understand the situation is kinda frustrating for everybody. But I gotta do what's best for me. Just seeing this right here, this welcome or this kind of support and love, it makes it kinda easier to get through this."

The next question is do the Redskins want Cravens back? The safety is currently in the middle of his 4-year rookie deal.
