COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Kasim Hill may have played his final down at Maryland.

The quarterback has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Hill is recovering from his second ACL tear in two seasons at Maryland.

The St. John's College High School alum says he's entering the transfer portal so he can better evaluate all his options for the future.

"In my first 18 months at the University of Maryland I have personally experienced many good moments but also some very challenging ones," said Hill in a statement he tweeted out. "Exploring a transfer will help me make an informed decision about whether a change in venue could benefit my overall recovery, well-being and development."

While Hill has placed his name in the transfer portal, he has not ruled out remaining at Maryland.

"I have no made any final decisions on leaving Maryland and my decision to enter the portal is not a criticism of the University or of the staff," said Hill.

Earlier this week Maryland landed 4-star quarterback recruit Lance LeGendre, who said one of the reasons he committed to Maryland was he will get the chance to play right away as a freshman.
