WASHINGTON — Bradley Beal is committed to staying with the Washington Wizards.

The team announced Thursday, that the Wizards guard signed a two-year contract extension that begins in 2021-22.

Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed.

Beal is coming off a 2018-19 season where he averaged career highs in points, rebounds, and assists.

Bradley Beal, who was drafted by the Wizards with the third pick overall in 2012, recognized the commitment the team showed him and wanted to return the favor.

“Both the Wizards organization and the city of Washington have been committed to supporting me and my family since the day I was drafted and I feel blessed to be able to show my commitment back to them,” said Beal in a press release issued by the Wizards. “I’m proud to continue leading this team both on and off the court and look forward to being part of building something special.”

Beal’s extension has him potentially with the Wizards through the 2022-23 season.
