WASHINGTON (WUSA9)--Some people wait their entire lifetime before they are able to see their team make it to a championship, unless you're a New England Patriots fan.

That was the case for Washington Capitals season ticket holder Mark Rosenburg who has waited on this moment since 1974.

That's right, Rosenburg has been a fan and season ticket holder of the Caps from the time the first Caps player stepped on the ice.

He's stuck with the Caps through the ups and the downs.

He said to see them finally win the Stanley Cup has been amazing.

One of the most incredible memories through the years for Rosenburg is that he has been able to share this with not just his children but also his grandchildren.

Rosenburg will now get to walk in the parade with the championship team and other season ticket holders who have been with the team since the beginning.
