WASHINGTON (WUSA) — After ten years of playing in the NBA Developmental League and overseas, former American University grad Andre Ingram will finally get his chance to play in the NBA.

Ingram signed a contract for the final two games of the season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Although there are only two games left, Ingram, 32, has spent the last decade in the NBA developmental league.

He'll finally have a chance to leave his mark, and also could be viewed as an tryout for next year.

Ingram played for the South Bay Lakers this season - averaging 9.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists a game while hitting 47.5 percent of his shots from three point line.

Andre Ingram is known for being a great three point shooter, as he currently holds the NBA G-League record for most threes made at 713.

Ingram graduated from American in 2007.

He did not get drafted into the NBA, but was selected by the Utah Flash in the seventh round of the developmental league draft.

He then spent the next four years playing for the Flash, before signing with the Los Angeles D-Fenders for another four years.

In 2016 he spent that time playing overseas in Australia.

After one year in Australia, Ingram came back and rejoined the D-Fenders, (who later became the South Bay Lakers) and has been there since recently getting the call.

Andre Ingram was a standout in college at AU.

He averaged 14 points and shot 38.5% from the field over the course of his four seasons at American.

He is currently the fifth leading scorer in the school's history with 1,655 points.
