MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Montgomery County Police Department detectives are investigating a rape that occurred Saturday night in Montgomery Village.
Officials said the victim was leaving a Ride-On bus in the 19300 blocks of Watkins Mill Mode when she noticed a male suspect was following her.
The victim began to run, but the suspect knocked her down, pulled her into a grassy area by the woods and raped her, a press release said.
The victim was able to get away and return home. According to officials, the victim went to a local incident where police were notified of the incident.
The only information police have is that the suspect was an unknown race male.
