WASHINGTON — DC police have announced charges for a man who they say stabbed another man to death in Northeast on Friday.
Police said 24-year-old Darius Murphy was arrested and charged for the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old Jason Wood in the 1600 block of Benning Road.
Investigators said the stabbing happened around 7:10 a.m. Friday. Officers arrived on scene to find Wood suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Wood was later transported to a local hospital by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services, police said. He was later pronounced dead.
Police have charged Murphy with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
