Police search for Arlington bank robbery suspect

ARLINGTON, Va. — Authorities are searching for a man who attempted to rob a bank in Arlington on Monday, police said. 

The Arlington County Police Department released surveillance photos of the man on Thursday and are asking the public's help to identify him. 

Officials said the incident happened around 2:05 p.m. on Monday when the man went inside a Capital One Bank in the 3500 block of Columbia Pike, passed a note demanding money to the teller and pulled out a gun. The man then fled the scene without any cash. 

The suspect is described in a police report as a black male, 20-30 years old, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall. Police say he was wearing an orange construction hard hat with blue medical mask, sunglasses and dark clothing.
