HANOVER, Md. — One man is injured and a suspect is on the loose following a shooting Saturday night at Arundel Mills Mall.
Anne Arundel County Police were called to an entrance of Arundel Mills Mall around 7:45 p.m. for a shooting.
During the investigation, police were able to locate several witnesses and surveillance video of the incident.
One man was located at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso and was later determined his injuries were related to the mall shooting.
Police identified the suspect as 17-year-old Jamari Marquese Hammond. He is wanted for attempted murder and other charges.
The shooting occurred after a verbal altercation between two groups of people.
The suspect and victim were unknown to one another. This was a targeted and isolated shooting.
