WASHINGTON -- In a season where 14 Nationals have found their way onto the injured list, the team's latest injury is easily the most unexpected.

Max Scherzer broke his nose Tuesday during a bunting drill before the National's game against the Phillies.

Scherzer's broken nose won't necessarily require a trip to the injured list, in fact the Nationals' ace could still make his scheduled start Wednesday in one of the doubleheader games.

Good luck to manager Davey Martinez if he tries to convince Max Scherzer to take the day off, Wednesday.

There's a better chance of Scherzer no-hitting the Phillies than of him missing a start.
