Man dies two weeks after being injured in DC quadruple shooting

Two men died and two others are expected to be OK after a Southwest, D.C. shooting.

WASHINGTON — Two men died and two others are expected to be OK after a shooting earlier this month, police said. 

Around midnight on July 8, police were called to the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Avenue in Southwest for a shooting.

Initially, four victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. Twenty-two-year-old Anfernee Vernon Walker died that night as a result of his injuries. 

More than two weeks later, 20-year-old Timothy Richardson died as a result of his injuries from the shooting.

No additional information has been released at this time. 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.
