A man accused of exposing himself and requesting sex from two 12-year-olds was arrested Tuesday, Metro Transit Police say.
Police said they arrested 31-year-old William S. Dienno on charges of Lewd, Indecent or Obscene Acts after an incident that allegedly occurred on a Red Line train.
Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, police said Dienno approached a boy and girl on a train between Woodley Park and Gallery Place. Dienno asked each of them separately if they could have sex with him among other inappropriate questions, officials said.
The children told police Dienno got off the train at Gallery Place and exposed himself to them through the train windows. Police used surveillance images and a description from the children to track down Dienno.
Shortly after, officers at Union Station found Dienno in the food court. Police stopped him and the children identified him as the suspect.
Officials say Dienno also is believed to have fare evaded multiple times.
