FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A 55-year-old man is now facing murder charges in connection with his wife's murder in 2017, police say.
Fairfax County Police Department arrested Laszlo Pentek on Friday, just two years after an investigation was launched into the death of his wife, 51-year-old Donna Pentek.

Just before 4 p.m. on January 6, 2017 police said they responded to a double shooting inside a home in the 9200 block of Okla Drive in Fairfax. Officials said Donna Pentek was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 53-year-old man was transported to the hospital. His injuries were non-life threatening.
According to a police report, forensic evidence led detectives to believe Pentek was responsible for his wife's death.
“Today, I announce justice is served in an active 2017 homicide investigation," said Major Ed O'Carroll, commander of the Fairfax Co. Police Major Crimes Bureau. "This is a sad case, it’s a murder of a member of our community - a daughter, a wife, a mom, a friend to many."
Officials said Laszlo Pentek was indicted on Thursday for one county of first-degree murder and one county of using a firearm in committing a felony.
