3 people rescued after boat catches fire on Potomac River

Three people had to be rescued after their boat caught fire on the Potomac Sunday night.

According to officials, occupants of the boat ended up in the water as the fire began in the area of Selden Island and Sycamore Landing Road in Virginia.

Montgomery Co. and Loudoun Co. boat rescues were deployed and all occupants of the boat were quickly accounted for.

The three passengers were brought to the Virginia coastline.
