Suspect at large after pulling Park Police officer into car

Police say narcotics and ammunition were found within the vehicle.

WASHINGTON -- A Maryland-National Capital Park Police officer was pulled into a car during a traffic stop on Georgia Ave at Epping Drive and now police are looking for a suspect.

Police say the incident happened just after 5 p.m. after the officer pulled over a blue Honda Accord. The suspect pulled the officer into the car and drove off before stopping in the area of 12901 Georgia Ave.

The officer was able to escape the vehicle as the suspect fled on foot towards Hathaway Drive.

Police say narcotics and ammunition were found within the vehicle.

The officer was not injured.

Suspect is described as a black male, 5’6” average build, wearing a black and blue jacket, blue jeans, with slight facial hair. If anyone should have any additional information, please call Park Police Investigations at 301- 929-2748.
