A man is charged with DUI after a fatal hit in run on I-66 in Prince William County early Sunday morning, police said.

Fifty-eight-year-old Dustin Tran of Manassas, Va. was arrested after police said he fled a three-car-crash in the westbound lanes of I-66.

One cars overturned during the crash. The driver of that car was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of the second car died at the scene. The passenger in that car was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The third car was Tran’s white SUV that police say fled the scene after the crash. Minutes later, Tran was spotted driving with significant damage to the front of the vehicle, trying to exit the interstate.

Tran was arrested after police initiated a traffic stop. He is being charged with DUI and one felony count of hit-and-run. The suspect is being held at Prince William County Adult Detention Center.

The victim has not been identified at this time.
