WASHINGTON -- D.C. Police were investigating a double shooting in Southeast on Thursday night.
Police said they responded to the area of Malcolm X Avenue and Martin Luther King Avenue in Southeast around 8:43 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found two people shot.
According to officials, one of the victims is an adult male who was shot in the stomach. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The other victim's condition is unknown at this time.
At this time police have closed the intersection of Martin Luther King Avenue and Malcolm X Avenue in all directions.
