CLARKSBURG, Md. — One man is dead and another is injured following a car crash in Clarksburg Sunday, Montgomery County police said.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. on Snowden Farm Parkway in the area of Clarksburg Square Road. Police said 20-year-old Ian Matthew McKenna was driving when he was hit by another car -- driven by 43-year-old Mario Orlando Sanchez -- going the opposite way.
Investigators are still unsure what caused Sanchez to cross the double yellow line and hit McKenna.
McKenna was pronounced dead at the scene and Sanchez was taken to a local hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.
