Greg Cohen joins the IMPACT team from WUSA9’s marketing department, where he focuses on digital and social media. He jumped at the opportunity to contribute to a unique story addressing a serious community issue in Alexandria, and help plan for many more in the Greater Washington region.

The IMPACT project is among Greg’s proudest at WUSA9, along with the award-winning #Every90Seconds social media activation of the station’s Bring Our Kids Home campaign, which focuses on raising awareness for missing children.

“The most impactful thing was interacting with the kids. My mother was a teacher, my fiancé Is a teacher so I know the connection that people in that role have with the children…but I was taken back by the level of maturity that these young kids have. They are sixth graders who have been forced by circumstances beyond their control to help feed their families.”
