GERMANTOWN, Md. — Police have found a missing 74-year-old woman from Germantown, Md. who has dementia.
Mary Alice Ballou last talked to a family member on the phone on Tuesday evening. Family told police Ballou had planned to leave her home on Crystal Rock Drive to visit a family member in Capitol Heights, Md. on Wednesday morning.
Police say Ballou never arrived at her family member's home and family members were unable to get in touch with her.
She was described by police as a 5'10" African American female, weighing 282 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
