1 dead in Prince George's County crash

Police have identified the man killed as 65-year-old Maurice Berry of Washington, D.C.

SUITLAND, Md. — A man is dead after a crash in Suitland Thursday night. Prince George's County Police are still working to figure out the cause of the crash.

Officers responded to the crash involving two vehicles around 10:25 p.m. in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Spaulding Avenue in Suitland. Once on scene, police found one of the drivers, later identified as 65-year-old Maurice A. Berry had died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation found that Berry was heading northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue when he mad a left turn onto Spaulding Avenue and was struck by an SUV. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
