Search continues for suspect in fatal shooting of 17-year-old from DC

BLADENSBURG, Md. -- The search continues for a suspect who shot and killed a 17-year-old from D.C. in Bladensburg, Prince George's County police said.

Bryan Alvarado-Esquivel of Georgia Avenue in Northwest D.C. was shot and killed on the afternoon of June 18 in the 5300 block of Varnum Street. The teenager was found outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Twitter, police released photos of items that were stolen from the teenager on the day of the shooting.

During a press conference police said they do believe that the robbery was the intent and that the victim's life was taken over a belt and a watch.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in connection to information leading to an arrest. Police are currently trying to find a suspect and motive in this case.
