RIVERDALE PARK, Md. — Police in Riverdale Park, Maryland, is asking for the community's help in finding a puppy that was stolen from his home on Wednesday.
According to the Riverdale Park Police Department, the puppy named Canelo was stolen from a home in the 6100 block of 54th Avenue. Police did not say if the puppy was inside the home or in a yard when it was stolen -- nor did the department mention what time they believe the puppy was stolen.
The breed of dog that Canelo is was also not given by police.
In hopes of finding the dog, the Riverdale Police Department did include the hashtag #FindCanel with its Tweet so that people can hopefully communicate on social media about the dog's whereabouts.

Recently another Maryland puppy was stolen in Prince George's County at gunpoint near Kent Village Drive and E. Ridge Drive
Police said in this case that the puppy named Lobo was walking with its owner when the victim said a woman got out of the car and walked to the trunk, before approaching him from behind, displayed a gun and demanded the puppy.
