MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. — A man has barricaded himself inside a house in Montgomery Village, Md. during a burglary, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Police responded around 1:15 p.m. to a report of a burglary at a house in Brassie Court.
Upon arrival, police say officers entered the house and found a man who claimed he had a weapon. The man threatened to harm himself and officers, police said.
After the encounter, police say officers exited the house and called for assistance.
Police are working to negotiate with the man. It is not clear if anyone was home during the burglary or if anyone else is inside the house at this time.
