A nanny was charged with the murder of an eight-month-old baby in Prince George’s County on Monday.

Police arrested 66-year-old Oluremi Oyindasola of Glenarden for the death of eight-month-old Enita Saluba of Glenarden.

Around 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 24, the baby was rushed to the hospital after being unresponsive at home. Officials said she was dead a short time later.

An autopsy revealed the baby’s cause of death was asphyxiation. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

An investigation revealed that Oyindasola poured two seven-ounce bottles of milk down the baby's throat. The baby was choking and according to police nanny Oyindasola 20 minutes to call the father.

Police said the injuries to the baby occurred while in the sole care and custody of Oyindasola.

The suspect is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in death and related charges.

She is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
