A foul odor led to the discovery of the body of a 45-year-old graduate student on the Morgan State University campus, according to Baltimore police.

Around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, a call came into the Baltimore Police Department after reports of a foul odor coming from a room. When officers responded to 1700 East Cold Spring Lane, the body of a 45-year-old male graduate student was found.

The last time the student entered the building was on August 4, 2016, according to police.

At this time, it is unclear how he died, but police said there are no signs of foul play. Police said people who knew him say he had been ill for quite some time.

Baltimore police continue to investigate.
