Drivers dead after 2-vehicle crash in Prince George's County, police say

Investigators are trying to determine what happened and what led up to the fatal incident.

CAMP SPRINGS, Md. — Two drivers are dead after they crashed into each other Wednesday evening in Camp Springs according to Prince George's County Police.

Officers were called to the head-on collision scene just before midnight in the 5700 block of Allentown Road, police said.

At the scene, police reported that the drivers of both vehicles had died.

The cause of the crash is unclear. Investigators are trying to determine what happened and what led up to the fatal incident.

The identities of the crash victims have not been released.

As of 6 a.m., Allentown Road has been shut down in both directions between Pierre Lane and Auth Road.

Police are asking drivers to adhere to officer directions in the area and to drive safely.
