CLARKSBURG, MD — CLARKSBURG, Md. -- It is a marriage of two important needs.

U.S. military personnel serving overseas need candy. Kids who pillaged their local communities on Halloween night have an exorbitant amount of candy.

"I found this organization called 'Soldiers Angels' that collects treats for troops," said Lisa Sabelhaus of Sabelhaus Team Re/Max. "We thought what a great idea. Their motto is that no soldier should be unloved."

Sabelhaus has a son and a daughter serving in the Army.

"I wanted to make sure that everybody's got a little bit of love and a little bit of candy," she said.

Local soldiers, pre school children and many others have stopped by Sabelhaus' Clarksburg office to drop off candy for the deployed troops.

On Friday, Sabelhaus delivered thirteen boxes weighing a total of 432 pounds to the local Soldiers Angels' office in Rockville, Maryland.
