GLEN BURNIE, Md. -- An 11-year-old was injured by July 4th fireworks in the Glen Burnie area, Anne Arundel County officials said.
Crews responded to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center around 1:51 a.m. to the girl who was being treated in the emergency department for burn injuries.
The parents of the girl said they bought legal sparklers from a fireworks stand in the Glen Burnie.
Officials said around 11 p.m. another child lit a device too close to the girl. She suffered second-degree burn injuries to her right wrist and stomach, officials said.
