WASHINGTON — A 28-year-old man was shot to death inside an apartment building in Southeast, D.C. early Sunday morning, police say. 

D.C. police said they were called to the 2400 block of Wagner Street around 1:35 a.m. for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find the victim, Montray Brown, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services pronounced Brown dead at the scene. Police said Brown's body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police have not identified a motive or the suspect(s) in this shooting.
