Tuesday, the 33-year-old golfer broke down in tears during a press conference at Quicken Loans National when he told reporters that Willard Hurley, Jr., had been missing for the nine days.

His father, a retired police officer, got into his green 1998 Ford F150 truck on July 19 with some cash and clothes and drove away from his home in Leesburg, according to Hurley. Leesburg police say Willard Hurley, Jr. used a credit card for gas in Woodstock, Va.
