CLARKSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Northbound I-270 has reopened at MD-121 in Clarksburg after a fatal crash early Thursday morning.
Police got a call around 2:35 a.m. regarding a disabled vehicle in the traveling portion of the road. According to the caller the vehicle was in lane 2 northbound on I-270 at MD-121.
Around 2:40 a.m. authorities learned that there was a crash at that location. The investigation shows that the driver of the black Honda Accord hit the back of the disabled vehicle.
The driver of the disabled vehicle was killed in the crash. The driver of vehicle 2 was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate the crash.
