WASHINGTON -- A 32-year-old man died after being shot multiple times in Southeast, according to police.
Officers say they were called around 12:18 a.m. Saturday to the 5100 block of H Street for the report of gunshots in the area.
Shortly after, officers say they also responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Southern Avenue for the report of a car crash.
When police arrived they found a man with several gunshot wounds, according to a police report.
D.C. Fire and EMS also responded and the victim, Jacob Jones of Southeast, was pronounced dead on the scene. The Chief Medical Examiner’s office has determined the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said Jones’ death was ruled a homicide.
D.C. police is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction in this homicide.
