WASHINGTON — A passenger was found dead on an Amtrak train at Union Station on Monday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Shortly before 6 p.m., police arrived at Union Station in Northwest, D.C. for the report of a person found dead on the property.
Police say officers found a passenger who was already deceased on an Amtrak Train 92.
Amtrak officials said passengers from the train were transferred to another train to allow police to investigate. No criminal activity is suspected, officials said.
The train, the Silver Star, was traveling from Miami to New York, according to Amtrak officials. Service had resumed by late Monday night.
