WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing on Friday night at Reagan National Airport after the pilot noticed a crack in the windshield.

American Airlines flight 5548, en route to Bradley International Airport, declared an emergency just past 6 p.m. and returned to Reagan.

The flight landed without incident and was inspected by Airports Authority Fire and Rescue. There were no injuries. All passengers were able to make it to Bradley later Friday night.

This emergency landing comes just weeks after a Southwest flight was forced to land in Philadelphia after an engine exploded, knocking out a window, and killing one passenger.
