D.C. Police announce several arrests made in recent robbery cases

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in D.C.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — NORTHEAST

On Thursday, June 21, 2018, police arrested two 13-year-old juvenile males and a 14-year-old juvenile male for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in the 200 block of F Street, Northeast.

According to police, at approximately 10:06 pm, four suspects approached the victim, assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The three suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

This case remains under investigation.

NORTHWEST

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, following a court arrest warrant, police arrested 30-year-old Antonio Moore, of Northwest, DC, for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Wednesday, December 23, 2017, in the 900 block of 10th Street, Northwest.

According to police, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Moore and the victim agreed to meet at the above location using the Tinder app. When the victim arrived, three other suspects approached the victim and demanded they withdraw cash from an ATM. The victim complied, and the suspects fled with the cash.

This case remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, following a court custody order, a 14-year-old female was arrested a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in the 4400 block of Arkansas Avenue, Northwest.

According to police, at approximately 6:04 pm, three suspects approached the victim and asked to use the victim's cell phone. When the victim refused, one of the suspects snatched the phone and the suspects fled the scene.

This case remains under investigation.


SOUTHEAST

On Thursday, June 14, 2018, police arrested 27-year-old Donte Dorsey, for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Thursday, August 4, 2017, in the 700 block of Atlantic Street, Southeast.

According to police, at approximately 3:00 am, the suspect told the driver of a vehicle for hire to stop at location above. The suspect told the victim he had a gun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle.

On Saturday, June 16, 2018, a 16-year-old male was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, June 15, 2018, in the 3500 block of 6th Street, Southeast.
Police say at approximately 2:56 pm, two suspects approached the victim and one of the suspects snatched the victim’s property. Both suspects fled the scene.

This case remains under investigation.
