WASHINGTON — Two D.C. police officers are being recognized for their acts of kindness after they helped a mother of three buy food for herself and the children. 

Officer William-Jones and Officer Ripes, who are both with the Sixth District stepped in when they saw a D.C. woman, who also happens to be a mother, having trouble buying food. 

D.C. police posted a tweet thanking the two public servants for their kindness and help.
