WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. firefighters and EMS saved a man's life when he showed up on their door step.

The man drove up to Engine 24 on Georgia Ave NW, parked his car in front of the garage and frantically honked his horn.

When first responders came outside, they realize the man was having a heart attack and then he quickly went into cardiac arrest.

Fire and EMS performed CPR, revived the man and rushed him to the hospital.

DC fire and EMS says the man was responsive as he was taken to the hospital.
