WASHINGTON (WUSA9) – A man has been arrested in the Fourth of July shooting death of 23-year-old Dwayne Gene Dillard, D.C. said.
James Coffield, 24, of Northwest D.C. was arrested Thursday.
The shooting happened Saturday July 4, 2015 in the 2600 block of Douglass Place SE in the Barry Farm section. According to police, Dillard was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Three other males were also shot. They suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police have charged Coffield with second-degree murder while armed.
