COLLEGE PARK, MD (WUSA9) — A man was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident near UMD in College Park Saturday.
The accident happened around 5:50 a.m. along Baltimore Avenue at Berwyn House Road, police said.
According to Prince George’s County Police, the car was traveling in the southbound lanes of Baltimore Avenue and struck the victim who was standing in a crosswalk.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver did not remain on the scene.
No lookout information on the suspect is available at this time.
