Police searching for man who stabbed a woman near Rosslyn Metro

Police are searching for a black male, approximately 5'10" tall and 160 pounds wearing a long black trench coat and a white hat.

ARLINGTON, Va., -- A woman was hospitalized Saturday after she was stabbed by an unknown man near the Rosslyn Metro station in Arlington.

Around 6:47 p.m., police said they were called to the 1600 block of Fort Myer Drive for the report of an assault.

According to a police report, the woman was walking in the area when an unknown man approached her, pulled out a knife and stabbed her. The man then fled the scene.

Officers said the victim was transported to an area hospital where she is in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a long black trench coat and a white hat at the time of the incident.
