Police search for hit-and-run driver who killed a 52-year-old man on the BW Parkway

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who hit and killed a 52-year-old man who was walking on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

GREENBELT, Md. — A 52-year-old man died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway late Wednesday night. 

Police are searching for the driver who killed the pedestrian. 

Officials said after the crash, the driver took off in an unknown direction.  So far there is no detailed description of the suspect's vehicle. 

The victim has been identified as Mark Johnson Sr. of Baltimore. It is also unclear what may have led the pedestrian to be on the parkway at the time of the incident, Sgt. Eduardo Delgado said.
