Detectives searching for 3 men tied to 2015 DC homicide

Police on Thursday sent out photos of three persons of interest from the July 27, 2015 stabbing in the 400 block of E Street Northwest.

WASHINGTON — Detectives are asking the public to help them identify three people tied to a stabbing homicide that happened in 2015.

Police on Thursday sent out photos of three persons of interest from the July 27, 2015 stabbing in the 400 block of E Street Northwest.

MPD said in a release someone flagged down an officer from the First District on the day of the homicide and told them about a stabbing victim alongside a nearby building. Officers found the man, suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, but was pronounced dead/.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Antonio Austin of Capitol Heights, Md. 

MPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone that gives them information that leads to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for any homicide committed in DC. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.  Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
