A D.C. Firefighter is accused of pulling out a gun and stealing a pair of designer sneakers from someone, the Montgomery County Police Department said.

Police said the victim made arrangements with the suspect through an online marketplace called “OfferUp” to sell a pair of Christian Louboutin Louis Orlato Holographic sneakers for $700.

The firefighter, 24-year-old Davon Alfred Moore, agreed to meet the victim on December 20 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and East West Highway in Silver Spring.

Officials said the Moore and the victim had a disagreement over the transaction causing more to pull out a gun and flee with the shoes.

Police obtained a warrant for Moore, charging him with armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and theft between $100 and $1,500.

Moore was arrested on Monday, December 24 and released on Wednesday, December 26 after posting a $5,000 bond.

D.C. Fire and EMS told WUSA9 Moore has worked for their department for four years and is currently on leave awaiting the outcome of the case.

Montgomery County Police has designated a number of safe “Exchange Zones” for residents to complete online transactions.

The Exchange Zones are located at each of the six police district station’s lobbies and parking lots (with the exception of the Second District parking lot). Find more information about Exchange Zones, here.
